Unbelievable (well, not really)

Another reality show romance bites the dust.

Bachelorette couple DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak have called off their engagement, he reveals in a video on their Web site.

"I kind of feel like it's our responsibility to tell you we're not together anymore," he says.

"DeAnna broke up with me two days ago, and I just wanted to come on here and tell you guys face-to-face," he continues. "I'm sorry - I did everything in my power to try and make this work.

"She's a great person, but she wasn’t willing to try anymore," he says. "She wanted something different. The answer I got was, 'I love you, but I'm not in love with you.'

"That's a lot to swallow, no matter who you are," he says. "It's a lot to take in."

The video then ends.

Mrs. B

My current celebrity rant

Forget mere celebrity. Beyoncé says she aspires to icon status.

"There is a time limit on being a pop star, yes," the Grammy-winning singer tells the October issue of Marie Claire's U.K. edition. "Being a legend, an icon? Absolutely not."

"I'm over being a pop star," BeyoncĂ©, 26, adds. "I don't wanna be a hot girl – I wanna be iconic."

Are you freaking kidding me? Is it not enough to be beautiful, sucessful, wealthy, and famous Beyonce? Seriously, it totally pisses me off when celebrities get greedy! Maybe one day you will be a legend Beyonce but please don't blind us with your ego!

Uptown Girl

On trying to decide what to blog about this week, I ran across this picture of Christie Brinkley buying a pretzel in New York. This poor woman has been drug through the mud the past year. If you're not up to speed in celebrity news, her very handsome yet slimy husband Peter Cook cheated on her with his 19 year old assistant. Christie has handled herself with class and grace and private details of her life has been made very public. Last summer as the paparazzi were swarming her house in the Hamtpons she handed out popsicle's to them. The day after the fourth of July she entered the courthouse to settle her divorce and asked the press if they enjoyed their Independence Day because she is going to enjoy hers. Christie Brinkley is an iconic beauty who I admire but not because she's beautiful.

In the Works...

As one of the last few remaining quality reality shows, Project Runway kicks off Season 5 tonight on Bravo. I am totally obsessed with this show and can't wait for tonight (the preview showed them making clothing out of items they buy at a grocery store). I wanted to have a big bash tonight but this week has been crazy. So this is a Save The Date notice-- I will have a PR season finale party and it will be a blast! Everyone invited!

Another reason not to eat at McDonald's

My Dad has been in NC for less than 24 hours and already has a hilarious story. While he was waiting to pick my mom up from the airport he decided to hop over to a nearby McDonald's for a quick bite. As he was pulling up to the drive-thru window a couple of employees threw a cup out the window and were laughing. When my dad glanced down to see what was in the cup he saw a mouse jump out of the cup and scurry across the parking lot. Then the employees proceeded to hand him his bag of food---yeah--thanks but no thanks. Gross!

Well, that name's taken

Nicole Kidman and her husband, Keith Urban, have welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Sunday Rose Kidman Urban

What the...? Just because you are a celebrity does not mean you can name your poor child after a day of the week, the Sabbath in fact.

Forewarned....

So I said on my family blog that I would post on this blog about things that totally annoy me. Don't say that you weren't forewarned.

My Pet Peeve #1

(Utah) Women of a certain age who shop in the Junior's Department and/or share clothes with their daughters.

Okay I am the only one on the planet who thinks this is a crime? Seriously women over 35 should NOT buy clothes that have the following:

-"JUICY" written on any part of their body
-Bright pink flowers on their bathing suits
-Pants that ride lower than their daughters'
-skulls or tatoo shirts
-BP clothes from Nordstrom (hello , I am too old to wear those clothes!)

Boy I'm glad I got that off my chest. I wish I had the u you-know-whats to call women out on this while shopping.

A little less annoying...

Unlike most of the world, sometimes I have nothing better to do than watch reality TV. Recently I have had a very strong opinion of Hollywood Mothers, namely Lynn Spears, Tina Simpson, and Dina Lohan. After setting my DVR to record Living Lohan on the E! network, I was pleasantly suprised on how real Dina seems. She lives in a modest home (with very outdated decor, probably redecorated when ex went to prison and Lindsay made it 'big' with the Parent Trap), drives her son to soccer practice, and is both of her famous daughters' manager. When negotiaing a record deal with music big wigs, she is firm and stands her ground on what she wants for her client/daughter. I have a feeling that 14 year old Ali will be much more famous than big sis Lindsay, but Dina still forces her to go to school when all the girls are being super mean. I can't believe I'm about to say this but I like Dina Lohan and even possibly respect her.
